The building housing Casa Colombo is a 200 + year old Moorish mansion belonging to a wealthy Indian trading family in Sri Lanka. When the building was taken over for refurbishment, it was in a bad state of disrepair and negligence, but with a lot of TLC and hard work, this crumbling beauty was transformed into its former glory, in a record time of 7 months!

During refurbishment work, Lalin kept intact most of the mansion’s original décor elements, such as the mosaic tiles and brocade ceiling, combining the glorious old with the chic new to create a never-before-seen designer boutique property.
